About Me

I’m a busy, entrepreneurial working Mum and wife. Married to Craig, we have one son, Roscoe and a young golden retriever called Monty. We currently live in Barbados in the Eastern Caribbean.

I am a storyteller and empathetic listener.  I earn my living  by working with people and organisations who want to make a difference.  People who believe that if employees feel respected and encouraged and who understand what they are doing and why, then performance and customer loyalty will increase as will sales and profit.  My skills are in the disciplines of communication, change management , employee branding, training and development.

I need these skills on my own journey.  I have become my own biggest experiment.  I went from rude full health and fitness to stress, burnout and cancer in less than 6 months.  With bits of me now gone, replaced with other bits of me or not at all, I am the same inside but with a different perspective.  Now I get to practice what I preach in a very deep way and these personal experiences, combined with my corporate knowledge give me better insight into how best to support others so they can be better and  are able to change for good.

I originally started writing this blog with the intention of helping others who were on a cancer adventure, like me.   It’s morphed from this and now I share new learnings, old passions and shared stories from times past and present. I aim to write every week to 10 days or so.

I hope you will find some insight and support if you are curious about change and how to deal with it.

Let me know what you think

much love

Laura
